Welcome to Maid to the Rescue. We are thrilled to partner with you to keep your home clean and comfortable. To ensure a smooth working relationship and set clear expectations for our services, please review our operational guidelines below.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at (743) 257-8572 or visit our website at www.maidtotherescuenc.com.

SMS Messaging and Communication Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. For complete details on how we handle your data, please review the Privacy Policy section on our website at www.maidtotherescuenc.com. Be assured that we never sell, rent, or trade your phone numbers, personal information, or SMS opt-in consent to any third parties for promotional, marketing, or unrelated purposes.

How to Opt In: You can choose to receive text messages regarding appointment reminders, updates, and promotional offers by checking the opt-in box during our onboarding process, or by letting one of our team members know verbally when scheduling.

Managing Your Preferences

  • Opting Out: You can stop receiving text messages from us at any time. Simply reply STOP to any text message you receive from us.
  • Opting Back In: If you change your mind and want to start receiving messages again, you can reply START to a previous text message.
  • Getting Help: If you have questions or need assistance with our text messaging service, reply HELP to any of our texts, or reach out to us directly through www.maidtotherescuenc.com.

Message Details: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. The frequency of promotional and marketing texts may vary based on your active services and current promotions.

Home Access

We want to make getting your home cleaned as convenient as possible. You have a few different options for providing entry:

  • Leaving a Key: Many of our clients prefer to provide a spare key. Any keys left with us are kept secure in our office lockbox, coded strictly for security, and never labeled with your name or personal address.
  • Alarm Systems: If your home is protected by an alarm system, please provide us with your disarming instructions and codes ahead of time.
  • Being Present / Alternate Access: You may choose to meet our cleaning crew at your home, or provide a garage/door code.
  • Note on Keys: For safety reasons, we do not return keys through regular mail. If you ever need your key returned, please arrange to pick it up directly from our office with a valid picture ID.

Payments and Billing

Payment is due at the time the cleaning service is rendered. We require a valid credit card to be kept on file for all active accounts. Unless you provide an alternative form of payment right at the time of service, your card on file will be automatically charged for the remaining balance plus any applicable fees.

We accept major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) and checks. Please note that a $25 fee will be assessed for any returned checks or declined credit card transactions.

Scheduling and Arrival Windows

  • Arrival Windows: To account for daily traffic, weather, and the unique needs of prior homes, our cleaning teams arrive within scheduled arrival timeframes. If we are using a key to enter your home, our arrival window is typically between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. If you are meeting us at the home, we will narrow this down to a specific two-hour window within that timeframe.
  • Rescheduling and Cancellations: Life happens, and we understand that schedules occasionally need to change. However, because our team members rely on scheduled hours, we require at least two business days’ notice to cancel or skip a cleaning. Cancellations made with less than two business days' notice—or instances where our team is locked out or unable to access your home—will incur a charge of up to the full cost of the scheduled cleaning.
  • Recurring Services: Our recurring cleaning options (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) are discounted based on regular upkeep. If a recurring service plan is canceled after only the initial cleaning, the standard one-time cleaning rate will apply.
  • Heavy Cleanings / Time Estimates: If a home requires significantly more attention than originally described during booking, we reserve the right to adjust pricing or contact you for authorization to spend additional time on the job.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee

Because house cleaning is a personal service, we know that an area might occasionally get missed or need a second look. While we do not offer cash refunds, Maid to the Rescue will gladly return to re-clean any area that does not meet your expectations. Please notify us of any issues or concerns within 24 hours of your service so we can make it right.

Breakage and Loss

Maid to the Rescue is fully insured. In the rare event that an item is damaged or broken by our team, you must report it to us within 48 hours of the service.

For key replacements or locksmith services, liability is limited to a maximum of $100 per location and applies only if keys provided to us are lost or miscoded by our team.

Pets

We love animals, but for their safety and the comfort of our cleaners, we ask that you secure all pets in a crate, kennel, or separate room prior to our arrival. While our team will treat your pets with kindness, we cannot accept liability for any pet that manages to escape during the cleaning process.

Service Limitations and Safety Guidelines

For the safety and protection of our staff and your home, our team operates under strict operational boundaries:

  • Ladders: For insurance and safety reasons, our cleaners do not climb higher than a two-step ladder. We use extension tools to reach higher visible areas.
  • Heavy Lifting: Cleaners cannot lift or move items weighing more than 25 pounds.
  • Firearms: For liability reasons, our team will not touch or handle firearms. If you own firearms, please ensure they are safely stored in an area we are not scheduled to clean.
  • Biohazards: We do not clean up animal or human waste, urine, vomit, blood, or other biohazard materials.
  • Bleach: We do not carry or use bleach unless explicitly requested by the client. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any surface damage caused by bleach if its use is requested.
  • Living Spaces Only: We clean indoor, climate-controlled living areas. We do not haul away trash, debris, heavy furniture, or handle post-construction waste disposal.

A Respectful Work Environment

Maid to the Rescue is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and respectful working environment for our employees. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for hostile behavior. We kindly ask all clients to refrain from:

  • Using discriminatory language or conduct.
  • Directing verbal abuse or harassment of any kind toward our team members.
  • Displaying offensive or racially insensitive material in areas where our team is working.
  • Creating an unsafe physical work environment.

Thank you for choosing Maid to the Rescue. We look forward to serving you!
